Mariana Flores de Camino: Violence Against Women: We Will Fight with all Our Strength

Mariana Flores de Camino: Please Stop!
Please Stop!
There are a lot of women who have fought for their rights throughout history, and done many things to be seen as equal. Women who didn’t care to be rejected by their beliefs and did many things to determine before the masculine power that they were also able to achieve great goals. For example, Joan of Arc, who fought for the freedom of France, and is considered today as a warrior, a martyr and a saint.

She is one of the most important icons of world history for women, as a figure of purity and fidelity to their ideals and beliefs. It is also an important historical personality if we talk about religion. But as for other important figures, we have Mother Teresa of Calcutta who has, according to the Vatican website:

“…The joy of loving the greatness and dignify every human person and the value of little things done faithfully and with love, and the surpassing worth of friendship with God.”

They were outstanding women who helped people who were the most needed and also had a strong faith in God and, therefore, every humiliation and every suffering they may have had in their lives, was dismissed because his work with God was more important. As for the other people who did not have the happiness to know them and that even today many women are struggling to prevent other women suffer from domestic violence, discrimination or lack of economic resources and have to sell their bodies for a few coins, yet the rate of offenses against women keep having high levels.

Violence Against Women

Arguably general violence against women has always existed, but today we are completely different from our antecessors time, and still continue being such actions against every woman, whether young or older, and it’s just inconceivable.

The website: Womankind ensures that most of the women murdered in 2012 was at the hands of their partner or a close acquaintance, and a study of the same year revealed that more than 90% of women have experienced some form of sexual abuse in the street. Is that a good thing? We cannot continue allowing women being the target of abuse and mistreatment. Things must change, and if you keep some faith in a higher power like God, roads may become easier to navigate.

With this, it is not intended that those who read this article become religious, but we do maintain some humility and be fierce against injustice and fight for it to the end and defend those who need it most.
