Mariana Flores Melo: Rihanna: I Love the Way You Lie
| Rihanna and Chris Brown: a history of violence |
All women are weaker than men in some ways, biologically, for example.
We are vulnerable human beings, physically in many cases and in others
perhaps psychologically, because nature made us that way. Our hormones go
crazy on some days of the month, or perhaps by some external factors our
interior is affected. However, there
is no reason for men to feel superior in every way and much less to feel
with the right to beat a woman or make her feel embarrassed with the things he
says.
Women cannot let men see us as a human being that is so weak that
doesn’t deserve respect and she feels good to be beaten by him. Although
some women feel so devalued or so afraid of their partners, that they don’t
dare to denounce him to the police. Those are sad cases. Sometimes, women
believe the lies of those men who swear not to touch them again to hurt them, but
they know very well that is another lie in its long list of deceptions to her.

Don’t you remember the relationship between Rihanna and Chris Brown?
They end it up up badly.
In 2009, singer Chris Brown
was accused of beating his girlfriend, at that time, Rihanna. This incident
produced that both artists cancelled their performance to the Grammy Awards of
that year.
Brown had to pay a bail for the accusation in order not to go to prison
and he also had a restraining order to not get close to the singer from
Barbados.
So as you can see, badrelationship could be the beginning of torture for women and Rihanna said
it in her song: “I Love the way you
lie.”
It’s a very good song that tells us how women could love to somebody
until the end no matter what, but there is a great truth: no one is
good enough to be able to hurt us in some way. Women in the world please
understand it!![]() |
