Women All Over the World: Victims of Men's Violence

| Stop Violence Against Women |
We are in a world of violence;
what we watch on television is nothing but aggression of art directors and
filmmakers in the audiovisual world, and the worst is that such violence is
perpetuated against women.
Violent actions are not only physical,
also have verbal and facial and/or body expressions, women are in a perfect
place to be seen as victim of a shooting. Women for centuries have been
considered weak, as inferior by its nature and by their sensitivity, because in
ancient times there was a lot of ignorance or perhaps many taboos about what it
means to be a woman. It was a macho world, it
was a world of testosterone, and women had always remained aloof; however,
there are in history many examples of courageous women who fought against the
designs of a macho culture and defended their rights. For example, in the United States, the feminist movement had allowed women the right to vote, to work in jobs considered so far as
"ideal" for men; also remember that with the World Wars, the
United States needed people to work in the industries, since most of the men
were fighting to defend society from a grim and an awful government.
Women, in spite of what you may think, are brave beings and the culture in
which they live are aligned to be seen themselves as servants of man.
When we say no, it's no, our decisions must be respected. It is amazing
that many of the cases we see today of murders, in which the victim is a woman,
the perpetrator is a man who for some reason this woman trusted.
Murderers could be:
·
Our boyfriends,
·
Our closest male friends,
·
Even our own sons.

| Women Do Not Have to Suffer from Violence |
Women also have been seen as a sexual
object throughout history, not coincidentally is the prostitution considered
the easiest way to make money for hundreds of years. Many women became angry if someone
say something nasty to her, others use it to their advantage, but a question
remains: can they be taken seriously?
