Women and their fathers

By many years, history has taught us that fathers treat their daughters differently than their sons because they consider that these girls are too special or just don’t have what it is needed to complete their ideals as a son would do. But why?

It is well known that a lot of men have the need of having a son because in that way they could perpetuate their last name or they could have a close friend and these are just macho ideals. There are men who are pleased enough with a daughter and they teach these girls how they should behave in a way they could prepare for what life brings to them

An example: Robin from How I Met Your Mother

Do you remember the relationship that has Robin with her dad? If you were a fan from the TV show How I Met Your Mother, you probably remember that Robin was traumatized by the treatment that her dad gave to her. But why? Because her dad always wanted a boy, and she was a girl, but that doesn’t stop him to teach her how to survive in the woods when she turned 13 years old; for him, she has to become a “real man”.

Robin cared about her dad, but they didn’t have a very close relationship after she grew up. Robin always missed her dad, but they always had discussions about little details. Moreover, she always thought he didn’t love her as much as she deserved because she was a girl and never was that little guy her dad dreamed of.

Girls and boys

Girls are human beings and are as valuable as any boy in the world. Women, as history has taught us, were considered as inferiors, but today it shouldn’t be like that because we know that everyone, no matter her gender, is important for having a better society and a better future for humanity.
